From Dawn to Dusk – Greig, Mel Bonis and Turina
Trio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan – piano, Ruth O’Shea – violin, and Linda Stocks – cello) play a Café Concert at the Civic Centre on the first Friday of each month.
The pop-up café opens from 2.30pm where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and home-made cakes.
The 45-minute concert starts at 3pm; the concerts are mostly classical music, introduced by the performers.
October’s ‘From Dawn to Dusk’ is a collection of music inspired by morning and evening moods, including ‘Circulo’ by Joaquín Turina, ‘Matin & Soir’ by Mel Bonis, ‘Nocturnes’ by Mary Howe and Clara Schumann, and Ravel ‘L’Heure Espagnole’.
There’s no need to book, though an RSVP via our website www.trioparadis.com is appreciated.
