Warminster’s popular splash pad is set to gain two new water features.
A flying frisbee and water cannon will be installed at the splash pad in the Lake Pleasure Grounds (Weymouth Street, Warminster, BA12 9NP), funded through the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL).
The new interactive features will complement the existing equipment and give children more ways to control and play with the water. The splash pad was designed to accommodate two additional water features, so no groundworks are needed.

Users can spin the flying frisbee’s disc to create swirling, changing water patterns. The water cannon adds another interactive element, allowing children to rotate it and direct the flow during play.
Cllr Stacie Allensby, Chair of the Parks & Estate Committee, said: “We are delighted to add two new features to the splash pad. Warminster Town Council will continue investing in facilities that draw people to our brilliant town and the wonderful Lake Pleasure Grounds.”
On Monday 28th September, members approved the Parks and Estate Committee’s request for £9,189 in CIL funding.
CIL is a charge paid by developers on new developments. Under Warminster Town Council policy, its share is invested in public spaces and facilities that benefit the community.
The splash pad is currently closed and will reopen in 2027 after attracting thousands of visitors during the 2026 season.
