Warminster YouthFest, a brand-new festival welcomed children and young people to the Lake Pleasure Grounds (Weymouth Street, Warminster, BA12 9NP) on Saturday 11th July, from 10am to 2pm.
Residents and visitors kept cool by enjoying archery, face painting, den building, crockery smashing, pottery painting, a reading area and garden games, along with free park activities including tennis, the splash pad and the skate park.
Warminster Community Radio provided a soundtrack to the event – while Rock Out Baby entertained visitors at 12pm helping create another enjoyable day for the town.

Warminster YouthFest also marked the official launch of ‘Roarminster’ — a free dinosaur trail exhibition across the town, with roarsome events planned throughout the summer holidays.
The first Roarminster competition was won by Avelon after he correctly guessed the name of a giant cuddly dinosaur – Rex.
‘A brilliant event’
Cllr Jack Jones, Mayor of Warminster said: “Warminster YouthFest was a brilliant event, with great engagement and lots of fun. It was fantastic opening to Roarminster, there is a real buzz around the town.
“We are delighted with the initial feedback and support from local businesses; we can’t wait for a summer of fun with the dinosaur trail and packed events programme.”
Warminster Town Council remains committed to investing in young people, including free activities in the Lake Pleasure Grounds throughout the year and events such as the Ice Cream & Bubbles Festival on Saturday 1st August.
