The Mayor of Warminster, Cllr Jack Jones, raised £828 for the Athenaeum Trust by putting on his dancing shoes for a “fantastic” charity tea dance.
The well-attended event was sold out with 80 people enjoying a variety of dance styles on Sunday 20th September from 2pm to 5pm, led by Mike Freke.
Music was provided by David Huxford, the event also included refreshments and a raffle at Warminster Civic Centre (Sambourne Road, Warminster, BA12 8LB).

‘Fantastic success’
Cllr Jack Jones said: “The Mayor’s Tea Dance was a fantastic success, and it was wonderful to see the event completely sold out. There was such a warm atmosphere throughout the afternoon, with people coming together to dance, socialise and enjoy themselves.
“I am incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, supported the event and helped make it possible. To raise an amazing £828 for The Athenaeum while bringing our community together makes the day even more special, and I’m delighted with what we achieved and very much looking forward to the next one on Sunday 21st February!”
