10 June 2026

With Wimbledon around the corner, the high-spec, brightly painted tennis (and pickleball) courts remain available to serve the community at the Lake Pleasure Grounds (Weymouth Street, Warminster, BA12 9NP).

The tennis courts and pickleball courts cost just £40 for a year’s membership (which allows up to 4 hours a week playtime, bookable in a maximum of 2-hour slots), alternatively book a court for £6 per hour.

Courts have to be booked online prior to arrival. To book a tennis and pickleball court you’ll need to register with the LTA here and then book via Clubspark.

The courts in Warminster Lake Pleasure Grounds can be used all year round and continue remain popular since receiving significant investment in 2023. Currently there are four tennis courts, two pickleball courts and a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) for public play.

A Warminster Town Council spokesperson said: “The tennis and pickleball courts are one of many fantastic assets in the Lake Pleasure Grounds. We are pleased to see so many people have taken advantage of buying memberships but there is still plenty of availability at our high-spec courts.”

“We welcome all abilities to sign up for a year of using the tennis or pickleball courts – with yearly membership costing just £40 and Wimbledon fever building, it’s the perfect time to join.”

Warminster has a dedicated tennis coach, Stephen Marcelle who has over 30 years of experience and offers adult 1-2-1 coaching for £45 per hour. To find out more information contact Stephen here.
