New Streetpod bike storage facilities have been installed outside Warminster Library (Three Horseshoes Walk, Warminster, BA12 9BT) following a Warminster Town Council upgrade.
The new user-friendly parking is now available to use for up to six bikes – the new pods offer increased protection and aim to encourage more cycling across Warminster.
The Climate Strategy Working Group previously identified cycling to the town centre would reduce carbon emissions.

A public consultation was conducted to gather feedback on cycling habits and parking needs with respondents highlighting concerns over the security of bicycle racks.
The new units are Certified Secure Diamond, the highest level of UK bicycle security standard, endorsed by police and allow secure locking of the frame and both wheels with a single lock.
Cllr Jack Jones said:
Upgrading the bike racks outside the town centre library to brand new Streetpod units reflects our commitment to encouraging active travel and improving local infrastructure.
These modern, secure pods offer better protection for bikes, promote sustainable transport, and support our community’s shift towards a greener, healthier future.”
The new units have replaced the existing Sheffield stand racks and are ready to use with funding coming from Ear Marked Reserve Climate Change.
