Seasonal Team Member - Boat Hire
- Core role
The Seasonal Team Member Boat Hire will be responsible for the day to day running of the boating lake, opening and closing of the boathouse, providing a safe environment for staff to work in and customers to spend time in as well as making sure the council meets all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Duties
- Opening and closing the boathouse
- Check the building and equipment on arrival and before leaving for any problems/damage.
- Ensuring the lake is safe to be used.
- Hire of Row Boats and Canoes to the public
- Ensuring customers are provided with and correctly wearing safety equipment.
- Providing safety cover whist users are on the lake.
- Cashing handling.
- Complete accident book/ Incident Log if necessary
- Any other reasonable request by management
- Training
The postholder will be expected to undertake the following training, which will be provided by Warminster Town Council:
- Manual handling
- First Aid
- Water safety
- Uniform
Staff will be expected to wear appropriate clothing. All PPE will be provided.

Hourly Rate : Starting at £10.18 per hour
Hours: Varied, Weekends and School holidays
Seasonal Cafe Staff
- Core role
The Seasonal Pavilion Café Assistant will help the Café Supervisor to run the busy café in The Lake Pleasure Grounds. Serving hot and cold food, drinks and ice creams the café is a high-profile facility within the park.
- Duties
2.1 Open and close café, including daily checks
2.2 Serve customers
2.3 Hire putting and tennis equipment and take deposits
2.4 Clear tables
2.5 Keep café clean, daily cleaning including washroom and deep clean
2.6 Deal with customer queries and complaints
2.7 Check stock and re fill when necessary
2.8 Inform line manager when stock is low to re-order
2.9 Record any accidents and incidents
2.10 Cashing up
2.11 Assist with any reasonable request from management
- Training
The postholder will be expected to undertake a comprehensive induction programme.
- Uniform
You will be provided with an apron which must be worn whist working.
You will need to provide your own black trousers and top and suitable footwear.
