More than 40 Warminster volunteers united to take part in a community litter pick on Saturday 5th April as part of the Warminster’s Great British Spring Clean.
Eager residents met at Warminster Civic Centre and were provided with bags, litter pickers, litter hoops, high vis jackets and gloves – 30 bags of rubbish collected will be disposed of by Idverde.
The Great British Spring Clean is an annual event promoted by the charity Keep Britain Tidy which aims to encourage people to take action to clean up their local environment and reduce litter pollution.

A Warminster Town Council spokesperson said: “Thank you to our amazing volunteers, it was great to see so many people support the community litter pick and take pride in our town, making it an attractive place to live, work and visit.
“Volunteers and the Warminster Town Council grounds team work hard all year to pick up litter and keep our town looking clean. We thank everyone for their hard work – getting that extra litter picked up can make all the difference to wildlife and the appearance of an area.”
This event was jointly organised by Warminster Town Council and Sustainable Warminster.
