It is fantastic to see so many of you signing up for the newly revamped Tennis Courts. The feedback we have received so far has been overwhelmingly positive and we are pleased to see it being used to its full potential.
At 10:00 on Tuesday 30th of May, opening day, the first players took to the court. One of the players said: ‘My eldest son and I have been coming down to see the progress of it being built. We are very excited and it is brilliant to be the first ones in.’ It is the most rewarding sight to see adults and children alike using the resources available; long may it continue.
The online booking will be found via the LTA website: ‘www.lta.org.uk/play’ and via Warminster Town Council dedicated booking platform or on an app. This will make it easy to find and book a court at the Lake Pleasure Grounds. A year’s membership costs £40 and allow for up to 4 hours per week playtime. However, anyone wishing to use it without a membership can pay £6 for a single court for an hour.
All income from booking the courts and purchasing a membership will be put straight back into the maintenance and upkeep of this first-class facility.
We will continue to promote the new project as well as provide regular updates regarding coaching, lessons and the plan to make certain courts free at various times. These are still our top priorities, so thank you for your patience and we will be able to give more information soon.
The Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) is always free to use and has been a great success so far with parkgoers looking for a quick game. With the weather improving and summer just round the corner, this is an ideal time to try them out.
Once again we thank everyone who has made a booking or subscribed to a membership so far, we hope to see you all down there.
