Warminster Town Council: Delivering a brighter, greener future for all

Campaign launched to encourage reusable cup use in Warminster venues

26 March 2025

A brand-new initiative encouraging residents to ditch single use cups has been launched across Warminster. The town council has launched the environmental campaign, highlighting local venues that welcome the use of reusable cups.

Participating businesses will display a poster to show they are a part of the initiative, encouraging residents to think twice about using a single use cup and instead use reusable ones.

The initiative is part of Warminster Town Council’s wider aim of maintaining strong environmental credentials across the town, encouraging residents to make a difference.

A Warminster Town Council spokesperson said:

The town council has teamed-up with the local independent cafés and eateries to launch a reusable cup scheme. This initiative aims to encourage the community to reduce waste by ditching single-use cups and embracing reusable ones.

With 7 million single-use paper cups a day getting thrown away in the UK, the town is taking a proactive step to promote sustainability and support eco-conscious businesses.

As a town we’re keen to encourage the community to do their bit to help reduce waste by bringing their own reusable cup when purchasing a drink. Every reusable cup will help cut down on single waste.”

The list of participating venues:

  • Civic Centre Coffee Bar
  • Cornmarket Café
  • Courtyard Café
  • Pronti Buon Appetito
  • Taste Deli
  • The Coffee Garden
  • The Pavilion Café
