Residents encouraged to join Warminster Town Council with two councillor vacancies to be filled by Co-option

Warminster residents are being invited to put themselves forward to join the town council and help make a difference to the community.

Warminster Town Council currently has two vacancies for town councillors one for Warminster East Ward and one for Warminster North Ward.  

Co-option means that the existing councillors will vote to decide which applicants are appointed. Time is running out to apply with the closing date 10am on Monday 9th June.

People considering standing are advised to look at the town council’s website warminster-tc.gov.uk/ including the agendas, and minutes of council meetings as well as information about the role of the town council. 

Applicants will be invited to attend a meeting of the town council on Monday 23rd June 2025 when a decision on the co-option will be made.

They will be given the opportunity to address councillors for a few minutes about why they should be co-opted.
