The sun was shining for the official opening of the Warminster splash pad on Friday 24th April.
The popular attraction in the Lake Pleasure Grounds (Weymouth Street, Warminster, BA12 9NP) has opened for the 2026 season and will open daily, 10am to 6pm – an extra hour compared to previous years as the town council commits to welcoming even more visitors to the community space.
Cllr Andrew Cooper, Mayor of Warminster opened the ‘brilliant’ splash pad and welcomed the first visitors.

He said: “The splash pad is officially open for 2026 and the sun is shining. It’s great to have this brilliant, fun space right in the middle of the park.
“Warminster Town Council is incredibly proud of the Lake Pleasure Grounds and the splash pad. It costs nothing to visit. If you are on a budget, you can still come and have a fun day with your family.
“The splash pad continues to be really popular and accessible – you’ll be hear the roar of fun from the road.”
The town council is reminding visitors it is vital to follow safety rules stated on the signage in the splash pad area. All children must wear costumes and infants must wear a swim nappy.
The nearby Pavilion Parlour is open 7 days a week, selling ice cream, drinks, snacks as well as splash pad accessories.
The Lake Pleasure Grounds is ready to host a series of exciting events starting with Spring in the Park 2026 on Sunday 3rd May, 10.30am to 4pm.
The popular community space continues to have plenty to offer for all with the splash pad offering another fun free activity for visitors alongside the skate park, lava trail and play park.
Additional paid for activities include tennis, pickleball, the putting green as well as boats and canoes available to hire on the lake.
