Warminster Town Council continues to cement its commitment to investing in youth services following a new agreement for detached youth worker provision.

Councillors unanimously agreed to another year of detached youth worker provision (June 2026/2027) with the intention that it may be renewed next year at the Annual Meeting of Warminster Town Council on Monday 11th May.

The youth outreach workers join young people for two hours an evening, four evenings a week all year round, working with schools, Wiltshire Police, local shops and other agencies.

Cllr Stacie Allensby said: “I am delighted that the detached youth worker provision has been giving funding for another year. The interactions and support this provides to a lot of young people is worth every penny.”

Warminster Town Council remains committed to investing in youth services which includes free activities in the Lake Pleasure Grounds as well as free to attend events including YouthFest, Roarminster, Ice Cream & Bubbles Festival, Pumpkins in the Park.

This is part of a joined-up approach to offer a range of free and accessible activities that actively engage with the younger population of Warminster.
