Estate Manager
37 hours per week with occasional weekend and evening work
Salary on the Local Government Pay Scale SCP 37 – 45, from £48,226.

With a substantial annual budget of approximately £2 million and a dedicated team of over 30 staff, the council has a strong track record of continuous improvements to community facilities and services.
We are seeking a proactive, flexible and conscientious senior leader to join our management team as an Estate Manager. This is a key position where you will provide strategic oversight of the council's estates, assets, and outdoor services.
Working closely with the Senior Management Team you will serve as a trusted advisor to the council, responsible for ensuring our public buildings, parks, landholdings, and operational infrastructure are safe, efficient, and fully compliant with all relevant legislation. Your work will be crucial in delivering tangible value to our community.
This role includes entry into the Local Government Pension Scheme.

Grounds Maintenance Operative
37 hours per week: working 5 out of 7 days as required. Salary on the Local Government Pay Scale SCP6 to SCP9, £25,989 to £27,254.

The Grounds Maintenance Operative will work as part of a team delivering a quality service for the community. The job holder will work in all the town council-maintained areas across Warminster. The job holder will work to a pre-determined schedule but will be expected to use their own initiative and they will report to the Park and Open Spaces Manager.
The Grounds Maintenance Operative job role will include cutting grass, shrubs and hedges as well as litter collection. The job holder may be asked to carry out other tasks from time to time such as helping with council events or water testing the splash pad and cleaning the public toilets. The job holder will carry out daily maintenance checks on machinery and report relevant issues to the Park and Open Spaces Manager.
The successful applicant will be part of a small team and should possess a full driving licence, basic grounds skills, and practical experience in a similar role. Important personal attributes include good communication, teamwork and a commitment to high standards of customer service.
