Warminster Town Council (WTC) continues to work in collaboration with the Warminster Business Network (WBN) to encourage increased footfall into the town, as well as pride in Warminster.
Financial investment has improved the public street scene with the repainting of finger posts, the cleaning of bus shelters, and the removal of high street weeds, helping to smarten-up the town.
WTC and WBN have also provided funding for local businesses to improve the frontage of their buildings, with 10 businesses initially receiving funding. An additional £1,000 has been allocated towards the campaign.

Several other local businesses have also invested in tidying-up their premises, as all retailers work together to greatly enhance the feel of our town.
Large scale town centre events have grown, leading to the largest seasonal market to date – with the well-established events positively promoting the town as a destination to visit.
This multi-faceted approach has led to national positive media coverage, as the momentum of attracting people to the town continues.
A Warminster Town Council spokesperson said: “Warminster continues to be on the up, thanks to a combination of methods to improve the vibrancy of our town.
“Actions such as cleaning, repainting, and ensuring windows are clean and free of damage can greatly enhance the feel of our town. We remain committed to making Warminster an attractive place for all, allowing businesses to thrive.”
A Warminster Business Network spokesperson added: “The WBN would like to recognise the huge efforts of the local business, volunteers and WTC in helping Warminster to buck the trend of dwindling footfall of many other similar towns.
“We will continue to push and do all we can to promote and enhance Warminster for the businesses and community alike.”
In addition, Wiltshire Council has given grants via the Wiltshire Towns Programme, which has led to new shops opening in previously empty premises, adding to the regeneration of the town and variety of the shopping on offer in Warminster.
Cllr Richard Clewer, Leader of Wiltshire Council and Cabinet Member for Economic Development, said: “We’re delighted to support Warminster and other towns around the county through the Wiltshire Towns Programme, a £4m investment to encourage more people back to Wiltshire’s town centres and high streets.
“Our Activity Generation Grants are helping town councils to invest in their town centres, making them busier and more vibrant – and it’s great to see this making such a positive difference in Warminster.”
