Pumpkins in the Park event to feature spectacular fire show extravaganza

Popular event – Pumpkins in the Park returns very soon featuring a spectacular fire show extravaganza from Kat Collett.

Excitement is building with visitors invited to bring their own carved pumpkins to the Lake Pleasure Grounds, Weymouth Street, Warminster on Sunday 27th October for a chance to win one of three prizes.

Registration opens at 5pm with residents able to bring their already carved pumpkin to the bandstand. Once registered, battery lit candles will be provided to illuminate the pumpkins.

The fire show extravaganza will take place at around 5.45pm. Face painting will also be available, plus pumpkin-themed games, delicious food, drinks and sweet treats for sale.

Cllr Stacie Allensby, Town Mayor, who will judge the entries, said: “We are less than three weeks away from the return of Pumpkins in the Park!

“We are all so excited to see the creativity of residents and their carved pumpkins, as well as the spectacular fire show performance – which is new this year! Simply carve your designs at home and bring them to the park for an evening of fun for all the family.”

Should the weather turn frightful, the event will move to the Civic Centre.
