Warminster Town Council: Delivering a brighter, greener future for all

Residents encouraged to help shape Local Plan consultation

11 September 2023

Warminster Town Council is encouraging residents to get involved with the Wiltshire Local Plan consultation which aims to set out the vision and framework for housing, infrastructure, and land for employment growth in Wiltshire for the next 15 years.

Once adopted, all planning applications will be determined against the plan, making it an important place-shaping document for Wiltshire.

The Wiltshire Local Plan consultation begins on Wednesday 27th September, with in-person events being held across the county.

The closest event for Warminster residents (and residents from Chapmanslade, Codford, Corsley, Heytesbury and Sutton Veny) will be held at Warminster Sports Centre, Woodcock Road, Warminster BA12 9DQ on October 18th from 3pm to 7pm.

If residents cannot make their local in-person event, they are welcome to attend any of the others to discuss the plan and their own area – all events are open to all.

The consultation begins on Wednesday September 27th and ends on Wednesday November 22nd. To find out more and to sign up for the online event, people should go to www.wiltshire.gov.uk/local-plan.
