Based on a true story of the Mighty Mites American football team of Forth Worth Orphanage who, during the Great Depression, went from playing without shoes, kit, or even a proper football, to the Texas State championships. The dysfunctional underdogs take on the league leaders while struggling with their own issues, much to the disapproval of the orphanage manager. Mulled wine and mince pies will be served before the film.
