Warminster Town Council: Delivering a brighter, greener future for all

Bonus free canoeing sessions available to book

16 October 2025

Free canoeing sessions for young people in Warminster are available to book.

Warminster Town Council is funding a rearranged free day of canoeing on Tuesday 28th October after previous sessions were postponed due to low water levels in the Lake Pleasure Grounds.

Qualified instructors from Wiltshire Outdoor Learning Team (WOLT) will run the free 1 ½ hour sessions with residents, aged 6 to 17, taken out in 2- and 3-seater Canadian canoes.

WOLT manages the booking and has contacted all residents who missed out last time and has rebooked them on this session – limited remaining spaces are now open to residents to book at:

10am

12.30pm

2.30pm

Residents signed up for the canoeing sessions should bring a complete change of clothing and footwear (and empty your pockets) – just in case.

Warminster Town Council continues to invest in multiple activities suitable for a range of ages in Warminster.

Town councillors previously unanimously approved £10,000 for free activities for young people. Warminster Area Board backed the move with a £5,000 grant.
