Excitement is building and additional preparations continue ahead of the 100th Anniversary of the Lake Pleasure Grounds event on Friday 26th July 2024 – with ambitious plans to create a memorable and special occasion for Warminster.
The event will run from 4pm to 10pm, featuring stellar musical acts including an Elton John tribute act – Forever Elton, and Beatles tribute act – The Beatles with an A, in what is set to be an event for all the family – 100 years to the day that the Lake Pleasure Grounds originally opened.
The event is one for the diary and is already shaping up to be a special and important occasion. The celebrations will be all-ticketed for crowd control, safety, and security, although tickets for the event will be free. Further details on tickets and how to get them will be released in due course.

The Mayor of Warminster, Cllr Keeble said:
We remain very excited for this unique event set to be a one-off celebration, completely different from anything else. We are delighted to have booked some great musical acts, with exciting new additions to the programme added. The event will be all ticketed, although tickets will be free, so we are aware of how many people are expected.”
Other activities include 1920’s themed fairground type games along the lake side (free to use) as well as a display by the Warminster Model Boat Club. The splash pad and Pavilion Café will be open. Food and drink vendors are booked, as well as a sweet stall.
Members of the public will be invited to spread themselves around the park, all the grass banks and in the picnic area.
The day is set to finish with a pyrotechnic plane display – Airborne Pyrotechnics – lighting up the sky (full timings to follow). The pyrotechnic planes should be visible from most of Warminster, for everyone to enjoy.
Following the sell-out success of stallholders at Spring in the Park 2024, the centenary event is set to be another event that unites the town and celebrates Warminster.
