Warminster Town Council: Delivering a brighter, greener future for all

Enthusiastic pupils visit CCTV partnership to learn how town is kept safe

29 January 2026

Pupils from The Avenue Primary School recently visited the Warminster and Westbury CCTV partnership to learn how CCTV helps keep the town safe.

A team of 10 enthusiastic children from the leadership group visited the control room and asked brilliant questions to Mark Chalmers, CCTV Control Room Manager and members of his team.

Mark explained how the 32 cameras across Warminster benefit the whole town by keeping residents and retailers protected from crime but also how CCTV can help people investigate incidents such as crashes and assist in insurance claims.

It was brilliant to welcome pupils to our CCTV control room. We are open to showing how the Warminster and Westbury CCTV partnership helps to benefit the whole town as well as explaining the rules of protecting public spaces and how our CCTV technology operates. We thank the pupils for their great questions and hope they found the trip informative and fun.

The Warminster and Westbury CCTV partnership is managed by Warminster Town Council. For more information contact Warminster Town Council, Tel: 01985 214847 or email: admin@warminster-tc.gov.uk
