Warminster Town Council: Delivering a brighter, greener future for all

Golden Globe winning ‘Oppenheimer’ to be shown at the Civic Centre

9 January 2024

Fresh from picking up five awards at the Golden Globes, film ‘Oppenheimer’ will be screened at the Civic Centre, Warminster, on Wednesday 17th January (and don’t worry, there will be an interval).

Based on the 2005 biography American Prometheus, Christopher Nolan’s critically acclaimed feature is the story of J. Robert Oppenheimer, “the father of the atomic bomb”, an enigmatic man who must risk destroying the world in order to save it.

A ticket cost just £4 (cash and card accepted) with doors opening at 1.30pm and the film starting at 2pm. Hot and cold drinks will be available from the coffee bar.

Following Oppenheimer, ‘The Great Escaper’ will be shown at the Civic Centre on Wednesday 21st February, ‘A Haunting in Venice’ on Wednesday 20th March and ‘Napoleon’ on Wednesday 17th April.

If you are hard of hearing or a hearing aid user, we have a Roger MyLink hearing system available and all films will be shown with subtitles – just ask one of the friendly Civic Centre staff members for assistance.
