Students at Kingdown School continue to work alongside members of the Warminster Town Council Grounds Team, learning new skills as well as giving back to the local community.
The partnership continues to run, as the group recently helped build nest boxes for use in the town.
The nest boxes were purchased by the town council from Found Outdoors – they are a natural product; hand made from timber felled in their Wiltshire woodland.

A Warminster Town Council spokesperson said: “It was great to once again work with students from Kingdown School and build six nest boxes for use in the community.
“We enjoy sharing our passion for maintaining and improving Warminster as well as teaching and learning from the local students.”
Sarah Miller from Kingdown School added: “Kingdown School is delighted to continue to work closely with the Town Parks service.
“They have been incredibly generous in sharing their time and their expertise with our young people. We are looking forward to continuing our positive contribution to the local community by getting duck boards built for the lake to support the local wildfowl population.”
Kingdown School (Woodcock Road, Warminster, BA12 9DR) is a mixed secondary school and sixth form for students aged 11 to 18.
The grounds team plan to install the six bird boxes in the Lake Pleasure Grounds. Local students have previously worked alongside Warminster Town Council on various projects in the town centre, Grovelands, the Warminster Community Orchard and other public spaces in the town.
