Spring in the Park 2025: Entertainment schedule announced ahead of family fun day in Warminster

A full schedule of entertainment has been announced ahead of Spring in the Park 2025 on Sunday 4th May, 10.30am to 4pm.

The Lake Pleasure Grounds (Weymouth Street, Warminster, BA12 9NP) will host the free to enter day out with more than 80 pitches selling homemade cakes, sweets, toys, books, local crafts & gifts, face painting, glitter tattoos, hair braiding as well as fun games like hook a duck, tin can alley and a human fruit machine.

Other activities include a children’s obstacle course by the British Army, maypole dancing, petting farm, donkey rides as well as model boat displays from Warminster Model Boat Club.

Boats and canoes will also be available to hire as well as free park activities including the reopened splash pad, lava trail and play park. The tennis and pickleball courts are also available to hire throughout the day.

Exciting music performers will take to the bandstand including Rock Choir, Brogan Pearce (pictured), Warminster Brass Band as well as the Athenaeum Masqueraders performing ahead of their upcoming production of The Wizard of Oz.

A fun dog show will be sponsored by Garston Veterinary Group & Charismatic Pets, with dog owners able to sign up on the day with several fun categories including Cutest Puppy, Best Adult (over 1 year) and ‘have a go’ doggy parkour.

If you’re feeling competitive enter a team in the tug of war competition which will take place at 3pm in the grass area by the bandstand.

Warminster Town Council is encouraging residents to submit teams of four in advance. As an added incentive, there is a £100 prize for the winning team and £40 for the runners up. For a tug-of-war application form email events@warminster-tc.gov.uk or phone 01985 214847 for more information.

Warminster Community Radio (WCR) will also be in attendance keeping visitors updated throughout the event. 

A Warminster Town Council spokesperson said:

With thousands of visitors expected, Spring in the Park 2025 is set to be another exciting day for the Warminster community. We can’t wait to see residents join in the fun, support local charities and enjoy a day of entertainment including the highly anticipated tug-of-war competition.

Due to the number of people expected at the event there will be no parking available in the Lake Pleasure Grounds for safety reasons.

Residents are encouraged to walk to the event if possible. Parking will be available at Wiltshire Council car parks around Warminster.

Entertainment schedule for Spring in the Park 2025:

10.30am: Spring in the Park opening followed by maypole dancing

11am: Morris Dancing – Bell’s Angels

11.30am: Dog show – Cutest puppy (under 1 year)

11.45am: Dog show – Best adult (over 1 year)

12pm: Warminster Brass Band

12.30pm: Dog show – ‘have a go’ doggy parkour

1pm: Rock Choir

1.30pm: Dog show – Cutest puppy (under 1 year)

1.45pm: Dog show – Best adult (over 1 year)

2pm: The Athenaeum Masqueraders

2.30pm: Brogan Pearce – Singer

3pm: Tug of war
