Warminster Town Council: Delivering a brighter, greener future for all

VIP Longleat prize winner announced after successful trail hunt

3 September 2024

The Longleat letter trail was a huge success with Warminster families embracing the challenge, exploring the town and successfully working out the Longleat phrase.

Warminster Town Council put on the interactive hunt to provide a free activity during the summer holidays as well as encouraging residents to explore the town and visit the many shops and services.

George, 7, was lucky enough to win the VIP Bronze Safari for up to six people with the correct phrase being: ‘Stars of the Park’.

George said: “I’m very happy. It’s crazy. I’m excited to go.”

Cllr Stacie Allensby, Town Mayor for Warminster picked out the winner using a random number generator on Tuesday 3rd September and handed over the prize to a very pleased George at the Civic Centre, who accepted the VIP voucher with his grandma Amanda.

Cllr Stacie Allensby said: “It was great to work on this interactive trail with Longleat. It was a great event for the summer holidays as well as attracting people to Warminster town centre and seeing what the town has to offer.

“It’s a fantastic prize and I hope George and his family have a lovely time. We plan to host another interactive trail for Christmas, so watch this space!”

Warminster Town Council will continue to use the Explore Wiltshire App and other different methods to encourage people to explore Warminster and interact with shops and eateries.
