Warminster Town Council: Delivering a brighter, greener future for all

Warminster unites for first ever independent Spring market

15 February 2024

Warminster will once again join together for a large independent market, set to spread across the town.

Warminster Town Council and the Warminster Business Network (WBN) will host the Warminster Independent Spring Market together on Sunday 24th March, from 10am to 6pm.

The High Street and Market Place are set to be closed, as independent stalls line the town centre as well as inside the Civic Centre with a popular indoor market held at the same time.

The event will build on the success of the Warminster Christmas Celebrations, to promote local businesses and encourage visitors to all areas of the town with live entertainment also booked.

Mayor of Warminster, Cllr Phil Keeble said:

Building on the success and such positive feedback of the Christmas Lights switch-on and markets, we are once again working with the WBN. This is the first of four street markets we have planned for this year.”

More than 60 stalls have already signed up for the event. The Warminster community are encouraged to support the independent stalls, shops, and services – with something for everyone.

Lucy Guy, Civic Centre Manager, said:

We are excited to work with the WBN to put on an even bigger event, we can’t wait to see the town centre and Civic Centre busy, with an array of stallholders set to join us at the Civic Centre there will be loads for people to see and buy.”

A WBN spokesperson added:

We are encouraging people and potential stallholders to support this event as we drive people into Warminster and create a sense of community. We are still looking for buskers, stall holders and food trucks to join the fun.”

Exciting further details on stall holders, entertainment and details on road closures will be released via the Warminster Town Council website and social media pages.

As the event is on a Sunday, parking will be available at Wiltshire Council car parks around Warminster, costing 70p for the day.
