Warminster Town Council: Delivering a brighter, greener future for all

Message from Warminster Mayor Cllr Stacie Allensby

1 January 2025

“As we enter another busy year of events in 2025, I look back and remember what an incredible 2024 we have had.

“We celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the Lake Pleasure Grounds with fantastic live music, dancing, food and the amazing display from Airborne Pyrotechnics.

“We held our first Ice Cream & Bubbles Festival which I thoroughly enjoyed, I can’t wait to see that grow into more in 2025.

“Four amazing markets perfect for each season and getting bigger and better every time. Pumpkins in the Park saw a record number of people show up and over 100 pumpkins to be judged.

“We fought on behalf of Warminster regarding the pharmacy queues and hopefully now that situation has settled.

“With the planning of a third pharmacy underway we hope that we have enough support for our town. As I laid a wreath at the Remembrance Service.

“I was proud to see so many people standing in support. Our Christmas lights switch on was again a massive event.

“Whilst things didn’t quite run to time, I do feel the whole day was an incredible, albeit mild for the time of year, day.

“My thanks to Warminster Business Network again for the work they do for the markets, along with the fantastic team at Warminster Town Council. I look forward to an equally busy 2025 and even bigger and better events.”
