Warminster Town Council: Delivering a brighter, greener future for all

New CCTV camera to be installed in Warminster Lake Pleasure Grounds to cover key areas

14 March 2024

A new CCTV camera will be purchased and installed to provide further coverage of the Warminster Lake Pleasure Grounds.

Councillors unanimously approved the purchase and installation at a cost of £3,800 at a meeting of the Parks and Estate Committee on Monday 11th March 2024. Funding will come from Ear Marked Reserves Capital Projects. The new CCTV camera is set to cover the Pavilion Café, the tennis courts and the picnic area.

Cllr Fraser said:

We are very proud of the Warminster Lake Pleasure Grounds as well as our CCTV coverage. We are very pleased to fund an additional CCTV camera to provide further protection for our assets and curb any potential anti-social behaviour.”

Warminster and Westbury CCTV partnership recently used CCTV within the Lake Pleasure Grounds to identify vandals at the skatepark. Several incidents of anti-social behaviour have been caught on camera, with good quality CCTV footage captured and passed onto Warminster Police.
