Award-winning tennis coach Stephen Marcelle (pictured) is set to serve up lessons for all ages in Warminster Lake Pleasure Grounds (Weymouth St, Warminster, BA12 9NP) from April – starting with a free grand open day on Sunday 12th April, 10am to 2pm, for all ages and abilities.
Stephen has over 30 years of experience and will deliver lessons alongside adult 1-2-1 coaching in the town for £45 per hour.
The tennis coaching is sponsored by Warminster Town Council and Sport England with coaching set to run on Tuesdays (starting on Tuesday 14th April) with different times for different ages:
- 3.30pm to 4pm: LTA Youth Tots Tennis (age 4 to 5 years old) – £13 a term – 13 sessions included
- 4pm to 5pm: LTA Youth Mini Reds (age 5 to 8 years old) – £26 a term – 13 sessions included
- 5pm to 6pm: LTA Youth Mini Orange (age 8 to 9 years old) – £26 a term – 13 sessions included
- 6pm to 7pm: LTA Youth Mini Green & Yellow (age 9 to 18 years old) – £26 a term – 13 sessions included

A Warminster Town Council spokesperson said: “We are delighted to welcome Stephen to Warminster as we continue to invest and offer opportunities for local children in the town.

The tennis courts in Warminster Lake Pleasure Grounds can be used all year round and continue to prove very popular since receiving significant investment in 2023.
In total there are five tennis courts and a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) for public play.
The MUGA is free to use all the time, and the tennis courts are £6 per one hour session or £40 for a year’s membership, which allows up to 4 hours a week playtime. For more details visit: www.lta.org.uk/play
