Spring in the Park event set to be biggest ever as tug of war competition and dog show returns

The date has been set for the return of popular family friendly event, Spring in the Park, held in the wonderful Warminster Lake Pleasure Grounds.

On Sunday 5th May from 10.30am to 4pm visitors will be able to enjoy traditional maypole dancing, music performances from local groups and a host of other activities.

With over 70 stalls, they’ll be a variety of gifts, crafts, accessories and sweet treats available as well as glitter face painting and hair braids.

Local organisations and charities will have fun fair games and activities to keep people entertained and a caricaturist will be on site capturing families and pets as a memento of the day (courtesy of Lit Fibre).

Back again is the dog show organised by Garston Veterinary Group and Charismatic Pets will put your fury friends centre stage with several fun categories. There will also be some animals to meet at the petting farm and donkey rides.

For refreshment they’ll be a number of delicious food stalls available as well as a couple of local bars.

In addition to all this you’ll be able to enjoy archery, boating on the lake and if you’re feeling competitive, you can even enter a team in the tug of war competition to be in with a chance of winning £50. Register your team of 5 (over 16s only) at admin@warminster-tc.gov.uk.
