A new temporary pharmacy with a welfare unit is set to be built in Warminster.
The planning application for a temporary pharmacy in a shipping container on Broxburn Road has been approved by Wiltshire Council with conditions.
Warminster town councilors have worked to improve pharmacy waiting times across the town, including Cllr Stacie Allensby writing to the Area Manager for Boots, seeking improvements for residents picking up their prescriptions.

Cllr Allensby said:
Warminster Town Council welcomes the new temporary measure in place; it will be a big help to that area of town and hopefully relieve some of the pressure on the town pharmacies.
We will continue to monitor the situation as we continue to work to improve the pharmacy situation in Warminster.”
Warminster currently has two pharmacies, Boots Pharmacy in the Market Place and the Bestway Group’s Well Pharmacy in the Cornmarket.
