New information boards installed as town council strengthens commitment to welcoming visitors to Warminster

4 April 2025

Warminster Town Council has installed new information boards at three key locations to welcome visitors to the town.

The boards have a large map of the town centre as well as posters and information on upcoming Warminster events. The boards are located at Central Car Park (Station Road, Warminster BA12 9FF), Warminster railway station (12A Station Road, Warminster BA12 9BP) and at Western Car Park (BA12 9NJ).

Events posters will be regularly refreshed and kept up-to-date by town council staff.

A Warminster Town Council spokesperson said: “Meetings with retailers and other businesses in the town centre highlighted a top request from visitors to Warminster was a map and information about upcoming local events.

“These information boards meet that need and provide a positive, welcoming introduction to people visiting Warminster.”

The information boards represent another part of Warminster Town Council’s wider commitment to maintaining pride and improving assets in the town. Funding has come from Wiltshire Council as part of the Wiltshire Towns Programme.

Events posters will be regularly refreshed and kept up-to-date by town council staff
