A new local Seed Library has opened in Warminster Library (Three Horseshoes Walk, Warminster, BA12 9BT) supported by Warminster Town Council.
Visitors can borrow free seeds (two packets per household) to plant in their garden, with seeds donated by local gardeners and companies.
Vegetables, flowers, legume, herb and grass seed can be donated. Unopened or opened and partially used commercial seed pockets are also welcome, as well as seeds you’ve saved from your garden (please label them clearly). Treated seeds or anything invasive or toxic should not be donated.

A Warminster Town Council spokesperson said: “Everyone is welcome to take seeds to grow at home and is asked to donate any spare, saved, or unwanted seeds to help the collection grow.
“Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just getting started, it’s a great way to share, find a new hobby and support local biodiversity.”
Please drop off seed donations at Warminster Library or at Warminster Civic Centre (Sambourne Road, Warminster BA12 8LB).
