Thousands of residents of all ages have enjoyed StarFest events across Warminster, with a series of exciting events attracting multiple visitors to the town.
Cranborne Chase National Landscape’s annual StarFest event was held at the Civic Centre which featured family planetarium sessions, stargazing events, school activities and space detective workshops.
People of all ages were impressed with Starfest: The Moon at the Minster – a 3D 4.5m moon installation inside Minster Church of St Denys.

The event featured a packed programme of events including a film under the moon, live performances from Warminster Philharmonic Orchestra and Warminster Military Wives Choir and bellringing.
A free StarQuest town trail, was also hugely successful as residents walked around Warminster town centre, spotting 10 constellations and writing down which shops they were spotted in.
The trail was won by Hania, 9, who was very excited to win a telescope, Sylvan won a space projector, and Lewis won an astronaut space game.

Furthermore, Warminster Town Council also organised additional events including a Josh Dury photography exhibition at the Warminster Athenaeum – with hundreds of people visiting and enjoying the free exhibition featuring 20 photos endorsed by NASA, ESA, Apollo 11 Astronaut, Buzz Aldrin and ESA British Astronaut, Tim Peake.
A Warminster Town Council spokesperson said: “StarFest was a spectacular and successful event for the whole community.
