Warminster Town Council: Delivering a brighter, greener future for all

Thousands enjoy thriving Warminster Independent Christmas Market and Lights Switch-on

29 November 2025

Thousands came out to support an incredible 150 stalls, live entertainment, tasty food and drink at the biggest ever Warminster Independent Christmas Market and Lights Switch-on 2025 on Saturday 29th November.

The well-attended event – organised with the Warminster Business Network, started at 10am with a record number of pitches across the High Street, Market Place and in Weymouth Street, as well as a buzzing Civic Centre market.

With roads in the High Street and Market Place closed, a relaxed festive atmosphere allowed visitors to browse stalls and explore our wonderful town centre.

Brilliant entertainment at the top of the Market Place featuring excellent performances from Jane Bennett Singer, Seren, The Full Motley and Brakelight ahead of James Hudson performing a selection of Michael Bublé songs.

The Civic Centre Christmas Market in Samborne Road was incredibly popular, running from 10am to 4.30pm.

Visitors were greeted with a fantastic atmosphere, the Mayor’s Charity Christmas Raffle and multiple local stallholders inside the centre. The raffle – which featured prizes generously donated by local businesses – raised £700 for Mind Warminster and Open Door Warminster.

Shops across the town also joined in the fun in East Street, Chinns Court, George Street, Silver Street, The Cornmarket and in the Three Horseshoes Walk featuring Comedy Elves and Wish Fairies.

New additions to Warminster including Pixie & Pickle and The Country Whistle in the Market Place were open and welcomed many visitors.

A Warminster Town Council spokesperson said:
