The Warminster skatepark is regarded as one of the best in the South West of England. It attracts enthusiasts from far and wide.
Skateparks are for wheeled sports – BMX, skateboards, scooters, rollerblades. It is covered by CCTV camera and any anti-social behaviour is reported to the police.
It is free to use but does not have flood lighting so is daylight hours only.
The skatepark opened in 2019 and was made possible thanks to grant funding from: The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development – Europe Investing in Rural Areas, LEADER, plain action, Warminster Town Council, Armed Forces Covenant, Wiltshire Council, The Fudge Trust, and the Friends of Warminster Park and developer contributions in the form of section 106 money and Community Infrastructure Levy.
