A Bake Sale at Warminster Civic Centre in Warminster raised over £1700 for the British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal.
The Bake Sale was the initiative of Civic Centre Manager, Lucy Guy. Civic Centre, Town Council staff and Town Councillors baked cakes, biscuits and some savouries which they donated for sale, with all proceeds going to the British Red Cross.
The event ran on Tuesday 15th and Wednesday 16th March.
Lucy said, “At the start we were hoping to raise £100, but people turned up in droves and kept on buying until stocks ran out. Overnight, we baked some more and sold out again. It’s been amazing, the generosity of people has been outstanding, they have been so generous.”
