Feast-ival of fun at another successful Warminster Independent Market

3 September 2024

The Warminster Independent Autumn Market served up feast-ival of fun as thousands of visitors headed to the town on Sunday 1st September.

The event, the third independent market of the year, was another huge success as multiple market stalls and food and drink vendors united, and mixed with music and popular entertainment including stilt walkers, circus performances and face painters.

Large groups of people were dotted around the town centre, including outside the Chapel of St Lawrence, enjoying the sun and making the most of the road being closed.

The event worked well attracting a lot of new visitors to the town who were impressed with how vibrant and fun the market was, with many from outside of Warminster.

The Warminster Business Network in conjunction with Warminster Town Council put on the well-established event, hosted from 10am – and have been delighted with the positive feedback from stallholders and visitors. Businesses across the town reported excellent sales, including new independent shop Harlow & Ted @home in the Market Place.

The Civic Centre in Sambourne Road was also a hive of activity, with a burger van outside, and record sales also being recorded, with vendors commenting on the friendly atmosphere of the event.
