27 June 2024

With Wimbledon just around the corner, the tennis courts at Warminster Lake Pleasure Grounds remain ready to serve the community.

In total there are five tennis courts for public play costing £6 per one hour session or £40 for a year’s membership, which allows up to 4 hours a week playtime.

The tennis courts in Warminster Lake Pleasure Grounds can be used all year round and continue to prove very popular since receiving significant investment in 2023.

Warminster Town Council has previously put on popular free tennis lessons for young people in the community in 2024, with plans for further free dates to be released soon.

Stuart Legg, Parks and Estate Manager said:

We are pleased to see so many people have taken advantage of buying memberships, using the courts and getting the full use out of this state-of-the-art public facility. With membership for the year costing just £40 and Wimbledon on the horizon, it’s the perfect time to sign up.”

All the necessary details about membership and payment can be found here: www.lta.org.uk/play. It is recommended to sign-up via a laptop or computer initially.

Warminster Town Council also has plans for regular weekly junior and adult coaching to be made available soon – with further information to follow.
