Warminster continues to be on the up as we look ahead to another positive year for local businesses and town events in 2025.
Warminster Town Council (WTC) continues to work in collaboration with the Warminster Business Network (WBN) encouraging increased footfall into the town, as well as pride in Warminster.
Financial investment continues to improve the public street scene with the repainting of finger posts, the cleaning of bus shelters, and the removal of high street weeds, helping to smarten-up the town.

Large scale town centre events will continue to grow in 2025, as well as in the Lake Pleasure Grounds – positively promoting the town as a destination to visit. These include the well-established independent markets, Spring in the Park, Ice Cream and Bubbles Festival and the Christmas Lights Switch-on.
Warminster Town Council is also pleased to support other local events in the community including StarFest, Warminster Book Festival, Inspire Musical Festival, RBL 80th Anniversary of the end of WW2, Imberbus, Skatepark Jam and Warminster Carnival.
A Warminster Town Council spokesperson said: “Warminster continues to be on the up, thanks to a combination of methods to improve the vibrancy of our town. We remain committed to making Warminster an attractive place for all, allowing businesses to thrive.
“Last year marked the successful launch of the Seasonal Markets, which brought an injection of vibrancy to the town centre, attracting both locals and visitors from further afield.
“These events have quickly become a highlight in Warminster’s annual calendar. Warminster Business Network (WBN) estimates that the markets have collectively contributed an impressive £750,000 to the local economy.
“Thanks to community efforts and local initiatives, Warminster continues to attract locals and visitors back to the town centre.
“While economic challenges remain, many businesses in Warminster are holding steady and showing resilience. With visible progress and growing momentum, the town is becoming a more attractive and prosperous place for all.”
A Warminster Business Network spokesperson added: “The WBN would like to recognise the huge efforts of the local business, volunteers and WTC in helping Warminster to buck the trend of dwindling footfall seen by many other similar towns.
“We will continue to push and do all we can to promote and enhance Warminster for the businesses and community alike.”
In addition, Wiltshire Council has given grants via the Wiltshire Towns Programme, which has led to new shops opening in previously empty premises, adding to the regeneration of the town and the variety of shopping on offer in Warminster.
