Warminster Town Council has launched a free StarQuest town trail – giving residents the chance to win out-of-this world prizes.
To enter, pick up a trail from the Civic Centre (Sambourne Road, Warminster BA12 8LB), Warminster Athenaeum (18 to 20 High Street, Warminster, BA12 9AE) or Minster Church of St Denys (Church Street, Warminster, BA12 8PQ) with the family-friendly activity running until Wednesday 2nd April.
Participants will be tasked with walking around the town centre and matching the 10 constellations on the entry form to 10 Warminster shop windows.
Once all of them have been found, come to the Civic Centre to pick up a participation prize, all correct entries will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a telescope.
The StarQuest trail is one of many free events for Warminster residents to enjoy – part of Cranborne Chase National Landscape’s annual StarFest event.
Additional free events include a Josh Dury photography exhibition at the Warminster Athenaeum, open daily from Wednesday 19th March until Sunday 23rd March.
Other exciting events include Starfest: The Moon at the Minister, which will feature an impressive 3D 4.5m moon installation inside Minster Church of St Denys.
A full programme of events will include, music performances, bellringing, story time for children and a film night. The church will be open daily, 9.30am to 6pm, from Thursday 20th March to Thursday 3rd April
