Christmas has officially arrived in Warminster, with the sounds of carols filling the town thanks to a free Christmas Carol Hunt.
Warminster Town Council is giving residents the opportunity to sing around the town, pick up letters, unscramble them and reveal a carol for a chance to win a top prize.
To take part, simply download the ‘Explore Wiltshire’ App, available to download for free from the Apple App Store: Apple App Store: Explore Wiltshire and Google Play: Google Play: Explore Wiltshire and you’ll find the Christmas Carol Hunt under Warminster.

The competition ran until Wednesday 18th December – with the winner announced on Thursday December 19th.
When you get to each location, you’ll have a question about a carol to answer and also a letter to take note of. When you have been to all the locations unscramble the letters to reveal a well-loved Christmas carol.
When you’ve completed the hunt come to the Civic Centre in Sambourne Road (Monday to Friday, 9am to 4.30pm) for your participation prize.
All correct entries will be entered into a prize draw with some wonderful Christmas treats including a Christmas hamper and Waitrose voucher.
Cllr Stacie Allensby, the Mayor of Warminster, said: “We are delighted to put on another interactive free hunt this festive season as we continue to attract people to the town centre and encourage them to explore our beautiful town.
“The businesses of Warminster have been busy decorating their windows for Christmas, so enjoy them as you walk around and don’t forget to vote for your favourite using the poll on Warminster Town Council’s website or in person at the Civic Centre.”
Alternatively, residents can collect entry forms for the Warminster Christmas Carol Hunt from the Civic Centre (Monday to Friday, 9am to 4.30pm).
