More additions have been made ahead of the ‘100th anniversary of the Lake Pleasure Grounds’ event in July. The event is shaping up to be a special and important occasion – different from any other events held at the park.
The exciting 100th anniversary event will take place on Friday 26th July 2024, from 4pm till 10pm, 100 years to the day that the Lake Pleasure Grounds were originally opened. Musical acts taking to the stage will be an Elton John tribute act – Forever Elton, and Beatles tribute act – The Beatles with an A, in what is set to be an event for all the family.
The day is set to finish with a pyrotechnic plane display – Airborne Pyrotechnics – lighting up the sky (full timings to follow). The pyrotechnic planes should be visible from most of Warminster, for everyone to enjoy. Food and drink vendors are being booked, as well as a sweet stall, with plans to spread vendors around the park.

There will be 1920’s themed fairground type games along the lake side (free to use) as well as a display by the Warminster Model Boat Club. The splash pad and Pavilion Café will be open. However, the MUGA (Multi Use Games Area) and Tennis Courts will be closed to protect the surfaces.
The Town Mayor, Cllr Keeble said:
We are all very excited for this unique event set to be hosted in the Lake Pleasure Grounds – the event will be a one-off celebratory event completely different from anything else. We are delighted to have booked some great musical acts, with exciting new additions to the programme added.”
There is only so much space round the bandstand, so members of the public will be invited to spread themselves around the park, all the grass banks and in the picnic area.
