Spring in the Park 2024: Excitement builds for popular event

3 May 2024

We are just days away from Spring in the Park 2024 on Sunday 5th May, from 10.30am to 4pm.

Warminster Lake Pleasure Grounds will host sold-out stallholders and a packed entertainment schedule as the popular FREE event returns (no tickets are required to attend).

The action-packed day will feature more than 80 stalls selling a variety of cakes, sweets, toys, books, clothes, bags, wonderful local crafts & gifts, face painting, glitter tattoos, hair braiding as well as fun games like hook a duck, tin can alley and name the teddy.

Look out for a children’s obstacle course that will be in the play area provided by the British Army, archery with the Bowmen of Warminster as well as model boat displays on the lake courtesy of Warminster Model Boat Club.

Music performers will take to the bandstand, as well as other activities including popular donkey rides (sponsored by Farnfields Solicitors) and a petting farm.

A fun dog show will be sponsored by Garston Veterinary Group & Charismatic Pets, with dog owners able to sign up on the day and enter their furry friends into competition with several fun categories.

Visitors will also be able to boat on the lake and if you’re feeling competitive enter a team in the tug of war competition – sponsored by Lit Fibre. To be in with a chance of winning £50, register your team of 5 (over 16s only) at admin@warminster-tc.gov.uk.

There will also be a Mayors Charity raffle for visitors to enter with generous prizes donated by Dents, Lyons Seafoods, Morrisons and Longleat.

Mayor of Warminster, Cllr Phil Keeble said:

We are incredibly excited for Spring in the Park 2024. With plenty of stalls, activities, and entertainment for all the family. We can’t wait to see Warminster residents come out and support another big event for the town and a wonderful day out for all the family.”

For refreshment, there will be several delicious food stalls available as well as a couple of local bars.

Due to the number of people expected at the event there will be no parking available in the Lake Pleasure Grounds for safety reasons. No tickets are required for this event.
