Warminster Town Council: Delivering a brighter, greener future for all

New event to encourage residents to join town council

22 January 2025

Warminster Town Council is giving residents another opportunity to find out about becoming a town councillor, with all seats up for re-election in May 2025.

Another drop-in for potential candidates will be held at the Civic Centre in Sambourne Road – on Saturday 1st March from 10am to 12 noon.

Being a town councillor involves working as part of a team with other town councillors to take decisions about how the town council should allocate funds and what services should be provided.

People from all backgrounds and with different skill sets become town councillors and all bring something important to the role, which is open to almost everyone who lives or works in Warminster over the age of 18.

People are encouraged to ‘drop in’ anytime to chat for as long as you like – a few minutes or much longer.

This event will give Warminster residents a chance to chat with existing councillors and staff, get some information and ask any questions they might have about the role.

Warminster Town Council will also have a stall at the upcoming Warminster Independent Spring Market on Saturday 23rd March, offering another opportunity for residents to have a relaxed chat with current councillors. The town council previously hosted two drop-in sessions for residents in November 2024.

Alternatively book a one-to-one meeting to cover the same themes by contacting Warminster Town Council, Tel: 01985 214847 or email: admin@warminster-tc.gov.uk
