Warminster Town Council: Delivering a brighter, greener future for all

Warminster residents encouraged to become town councillors

19 November 2024

Warminster Town Council hosted two drop-in sessions for residents interested in finding out what is involved in being a town councillor.

The events were held at the Civic Centre on Friday 15th November and Saturday 16th November and gave residents in attendance the chance to chat with existing councillors and senior staff, obtain information and ask any questions they might have about the role.

All 14 seats on the town council will be up for re-election in May 2025.

The informal sessions were held to encourage people to put themselves forward for election next year.

Further events will be held with a similar session in February 2025 as well as a stall at the Spring Market on Saturday 23rd March. In addition, councillors are planning to set up a stall in the town centre and use display boards at various locations such as Warminster Library.

Councillors are keen to stress that the role is open to almost everyone who lives or works in Warminster over the age of 18.

You don’t have to attend an event, and you can instead book a one-to-one meeting to cover the same themes.
