The Warminster Lake Pleasure Grounds filled with a buzzing atmosphere for Spring in the Park 2025 on Sunday 4th May.

Thousands attended the popular annual celebration which started at 10.30am with visitors enjoying a huge variety of stalls, tasty food and drink as well as the play park, an assault course, petting farm, tennis courts, boats on the lake and the recently reopened splash pad.

A packed entertainment schedule had many highlights with maypole dancing starting the show, followed by Bell’s Angels Morris Dancing as well as brilliant music and performances from Rock Choir, Brogan Pearce, Warminster Brass Band as well as the Athenaeum Masqueraders giving an excellent preview of their upcoming production of The Wizard of Oz.

Many well-behaved dogs joined in the fun at the dog show (sponsored by Garston Veterinary Group & Charismatic Pets) before crowds gathered to cheer on the tug-of-war competition won by Team Curtis – who generously made a donation to the Mayor’s two charities with their prize money.

Warminster Community Radio (WCR) kept visitors entertained and informed throughout the event.

A Warminster Town Council spokesperson said: “The biggest, busiest and the best Spring in the Park. Thank you to all the stallholders, vendors, staff and the public for another spectacular event in Warminster. Thousands enjoyed the stalls, activities, and amazing entertainment.

“We are rightly very proud of the Lake Pleasure Grounds and remain committed to organising regular events for the Warminster community that are free to attend and can be enjoyed by all.”
