Warminster Town Council has partnered with Wiltshire and Swindon Prepared to establish an Emergency Contact Hub located at the Civic Centre, Sambourne Road, Warminster, BA12 8LB.
The Civic Centre will act as a designated places for the community to come together to help one another in an emergency.
A Wiltshire & Swindon Prepared spokesperson said: “An Emergency Contact Hub is your community’s place to go and help one another in an emergency.
“They are organised around whatever your community wants them to be, but primarily they are designed so that community members can help themselves, but also have a linkage into the emergency services and other responding agencies in your local area.”
A Warminster Town Council spokesperson added: “We hope the need doesn’t arise, but if it does, we are ready to act as a base to coordinate a response to an emergency.”
