More than 40 local volunteers took part in a community litter pick as part of the Warminster’s Great British Spring Clean on Saturday 14th March.
Eager residents met at Warminster Civic Centre (Sambourne Road, Warminster BA12 8LB) before heading to areas across the town to collect bags of rubbish – which will be collected and then disposed of by Idverde.
Cllr Jack Jones, Warminster Town Council litter pick champion said: “Thank you to the 40 volunteers that took part today. There’s so many people in Warminster that care about the local area and the local environment.
“Volunteers and the town council grounds team work hard all year to pick up litter and keep our town looking clean. We thank everyone for their hard work today and throughout the year.”

Jack is planning another community litter pick in the summer and is calling on anyone who would like to get involved in more regular litter picks to contact him directly.
Equipment was provided and all volunteers were offered a free drink – with the event jointly organised by Sustainable Warminster and Warminster Town Council.
The Great British Spring Clean is the nation’s biggest mass-action environmental campaign.
