Warminster Town Council: Delivering a brighter, greener future for all

Warminster & District Foodbank fully operational in new location

27 February 2024

The Warminster & District Foodbank has relocated from Dewey House (North Row, Warminster) to a room within The Athenaeum Centre for the Community. Access is from a dedicated entrance along The Close (just off the High Street, Warminster, BA12 9AL), which is signposted.

Jean Colgrave, who has been at the foodbank since 2009 said: “It has gone surprisingly smoothly due to a lot of good will and good planning. It is a wonderful new location; it’s all been arranged in one place. We are always very grateful for the support, which is amazing.”

The foodbank, run by 31 volunteers, covers Warminster and surrounding villages, and works in partnership with other charities, health, social services, housing, and education services who refer clients for food assistance.
